Well, after a wasted day yesterday - I had a really bad stomach bug and was out of commission all day and Tom was so good and looked after me (not!) - we've been out and about with Al and Jenness today. We went to the outdoor market at Ostend - rather like a car boot but with lots of fresh local produce and crafts - then on to Oneroa for some shopping and coffee at the Lazy Lounge. We were taken on a sight-seeing trip round some of the fantastic beaches on Waiheke - so many in such a small area - no wonder Jenn loves it here.

After a siesta for a couple of hours, we went to the cinema this afternoon to see"Death at a Wedding" - very funny film. The cinema is community owned and has sofas for seats, donated by locals when they have no further use for them! Some of the most comfortable cinema seats we have ever sat in.
Then it was a quick trip home to get changed and off to Palm Beach for a swim. Jenn told us it would be warm - SHE LIED!! It was cold, but once we got used to it, it actually was not too bad.

Home again for dinner on the terrace followed by "Viva Las Vegas" on TV - showing our age when we remembered it first time round! Then to bed and looking forward to more adventures tomorrow.
